A United Airlines flight from Houston to New York was evacuated on Sunday morning after an airplane caught on fire during takeoff.
Terrifying images of haunted passengers looking out the window took center stage on social media the silence of terror and panic grew in the footage shown by Fox 26.
Flames started to burst out of one of the plane’s wings as the aircraft started to roll in a forward direction as it started to take off.
The flight was an Airbus A320 that aborted the take-off from the George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas.
The incident arose due to a reported engine issue, shortly after 8:30 am, as stated by the FAA.
There were 104 passengers and five crew members on board the flight at the time of the incident. Since then, it has been rescheduled to take off at 12:30 pm local time.
Houston firefighters helped the passengers evacuate as stated by the agency on X. So far, no injuries of any kind have been reported.
