Traveling can be a daunting affair for some people, and that’s especially true if you happen to be bothered by pesky neighbors nearby your seat or aisle.
One woman says she is baffled at the audacity that one elderly couple had. They demanded she switch seats with her but she blatantly refused. And now, people are slamming her as entitled and disrespectful but she feels that’s not fair.
The passenger who is believed to be from the US says that paying extra money always has its own perks and benefits. And now, he’s making sure others realize this because you don’t get things for free in today’s day and age.
The man revealed how this was a trip that he had been anticipating for so long. It was supposed to be a goal for him. Remember, traveling around the world in today’s day and age is not easy. But he did it and was paying some major expenses to see nations in this 3-month ordeal.
But this man had no clue that along the way, he’d be asked to make a decision that would have others calling him out. He started to explain how the elderly couple just found it alright to come directly to him.
They stopped in the aisle and told him that he had plenty of leg room and they did not. Hence, they would like to switch with him. Baffled as ever, the man smirked and added how the only reason he did have this much legroom was linked to the fact that he had paid extra. This was an upgrade and he informed them.
Hence, the man blatantly refused. The couple was mortified and that’s when the flight attendant decided to step in and intervene. She wanted to see what the entire commotion was all about.
Hence, when she inquired, she told the couple to return back to their seats because they had no business being there.
“Why should I be the one to ruin my journey so others can benefit? Yes, they are elderly and happen to be in their mid-seventies but if you want more space then you’d need to pay for it”- and people online could not agree more. What about you?
It is your seat. You paid extra for it. I’m an elderly woman and would not have the audacity to even ask.
Pay for what you want. Are those who are asking for your seat willing to reimburse your costs?…..If not, they are
being terribly presumptuous asking you to inconvenience yourself for their mistake.
