Several people have passed away after a hot air balloon caught fire mid-air.

This horror incident arose in Brazil and had 22 people on board at the time. Local officials shared how eight people died in the shocking incident that arose in Santa Catarina, with Local Governor Jorginho Mello taking to his account on X to comment publicly on this.

He shared how everyone was shocked by this incident involving the balloon from Praia Grande during the morning hours.

The rescue team is already on the site. So far, eight deaths have been confirmed, and among those were two survivors. The local fire department in Santa Catarina which is in the South of Brazil, shared how two people were onboard when this disaster arose.

Officials mentioned how the fire department is now responding to the balloon crash in the municipality of Praia Grande, in the south of the state, which arose on the morning of Saturday.

The corporation confirmed four deaths at the scene, of the other victims are being treated, searched for, and looked after by the teams.
