The families of Israeli hostages are demanding the return of their slain loved ones.
The news comes after only 9 of the 29 hostages’ bodies were flown back home to loved ones, as Hamas says it does not have any more. This has caused anger and fury across the board, with families calling for an end to the ceasefire if their loved ones’ remains don’t get back.
As shared by Trump two days back, they are currently in phase two of the agreement, which is to return all those killed. Hamas said all reachable hostage bodies were given to Israel after the Red Cross received the remains of another two late on Wednesday.
The bodies were sent for genetic testing so they could be identified. All of the slain remains were supposed to be returned by Monday, but since only 9 have come back, it’s given rise to increased tensions and the possibility that the ceasefire could be terminated.
The militant group mentioned that it would not be able to recover any more without significant efforts. Trujmp said that he would consider allowing Israeli forces to return to fighting if Hamas upholds the hostages’ remain, as that would be a violation of the ceasefire agreement that was signed between both sides.
Speaking to CNN, Trump mentioned how Israel would return to the same streets as soon as he gives the signal. As per Trump, 19 bodies were supposed to come back, and the agreement can’t continue to be implemented if Hamas does not play its role.
