A TV host has gone viral after blasting Amber Heard and branding her statements as “weird” after the actress doubled down on her allegations against Johnny Depp.
After being unable to convince the jury that her claims against her ex-husband were true, Heard was ordered to pay the Pirates of the Caribbean $10.35 million in damages for defaming him in her 2018 op-ed for The Washington Post.
Despite claims that she is now broke, however, the Aquaman star refuses to stop speaking out against her ex, whereas she reiterated her allegations in a bombshell Today interview earlier this week.
American broadcaster Cooper Lawrence has since lashed out at the actress and branded her as weird in an interview with Australia’s ‘Sunrise’ TV show.
“I think [Amber is] on the ‘you need to listen to me tour.’ Yet she has these awkward moments that she had during the trial where you’re kind of like, ‘Wait, are you lying again?’” Lawrence said.
“It’s like she can’t get her own story straight that she memorized for this interview, and she’s not even under oath.”
The broadcaster’s comments come after Heard told Today TV host that Johnny really did hit her and that she still loves him despite everything that he had allegedly done to her.
Lawrence also took a jab at Heard’s bizarre reaction to the comment of Depp’s attorney Camille Vasquez who previously said Amber gave “the performance of a lifetime” during her court testimony.
Responding to Vasquez’s accusations, Heard said: “Says the lawyer for the man who convinced the world he had scissors for fingers? I’m the performer?”
It is not clear what exactly the actress meant by suggesting that Depp, who appeared in the 1990 movie Edward Scissorhands, “convinced” people that he had scissors in the stead of fingers in real life.
“I mean, the thing is, we know that Johnny Depp doesn’t have fingers that are scissors. We also don’t think that he was once a real pirate,” Lawrence reacted to Heard’s comment.
“The whole thing is really odd and really weird, and I’m trying to figure out what her intention was here.”
Among other bombshell allegations she threw out in the open during her interview with Today, Heard also suggested that the trial was “unfair” because of Johnny’s social media fame and that the actor managed to sway the jury to his side with his incredible acting.
