An amusement park ride malfunction in Saudi Arabia left 23 people injured, with three in a critical condition.
Shocking video of the incident displayed the ride with 350 degrees printed across at the top while it swung back and forth before the arm with the spinning wheel carrying the passengers snapped off the frame of this ride.
Riders were heard screaming as they plunged to the ground. This took place on Wednesday at the Green Mountain Park in Taif, Saudi Arabia.
Eyewitnesses described more horror as they saw riders being injured, even though they were strapped into the seats at the time of that fall. The ride’s central pole recoiled swiftly, which also gave rise to injuries, as per witnesses. The injured people were seen being given first aid before getting rushed to the hospital by paramedics.
No other details were provided, and a full-blown investigation is taking place by authorities who refused to comment further on the matter. As of right now, the area has been cordoned off until further notice.
