A train derailed from its tracks in Western Russia after a horrific bridge collapse that resulted in seven fatalities.
Local media reports confirmed how the incident arose in the late hours of Saturday, with many calling the ordeal illegal interference.
At least 30 others were injured in the incident. The bridge is located in Russia’s Bryansk region, which borders Ukraine. It was believed to be compromised as a result of illegal interferences inside the transport operations, sources shared.
No other further details were provided on this matter by the Moscow Railways.
Russia’s federal road transportation agency shared how the demolished bridge was located right above the railway tracks where the train was operating.
Pictures shared by government agencies from the location depicted passenger carriages from the train torn apart and strewn among the rubble of the fallen bridge.
Further footage was seen circulating on social media, and it appears to be captured from inside the vehicles that narrowly escaped driving onto the bridge before the collapse.
