BREAKING: World Cup Chief Speaks Out About What Will Happen If People ‘Hold Hands’ At The FIFA World Cup In Qatar


With just one day away from the 2022 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony, there is more drama and speculations taking place in Qatar regarding the rules and regulations outlined for the grand event.

According to reports from local media outlets, the World Cup chief has opened up about what would happen to all those people in cases where they choose to hold hands while visiting the nation during the tournament.

In case you did not know, the 2022 World Cup is taking place tomorrow and the opening game would feature the likes of Qatar and Ecuador. And in case you choose to watch the competition in person and aren’t too sure about what to do, well, let’s give you a heads up.

There has already been a ban on alcoholic drinks and indecent acts while same-gender couples are also banned.point 92 | But the fact that people aren’t allowed to show public displays of affection is literally blowing people’s minds.point 200 | 1

Qatar says that while everyone is welcome and made to feel safe, there are rules in place. You may hold hands if you wish to but other acts of indecency won’t be allowed.

“Everybody is welcome here and you’ll all feel safe over here. We just want people to be respectful of our culture!”- the FIFA World Cup chief continued.

Despite so much reassurance coming through the World Cup Chief in Qatar, people are still so reluctant to hold hands and also to wave rainbow flags as they fear the LGBTQ+ community isn’t going to be given the right response from officials.

We just saw a media person for a Danish newspaper who despite presenting his media card was threatened with having his video camera smashed as he was filming in the country. So as you can see, people do fear for their lives.
