Matthew Perry was living inside a Beverly Hills hideaway with his assistant from Japan before his untimely death, sources have confirmed.
According to reports from local media outlets, the star’s luxury mansion where he was found dead inside his hot tub was undergoing renovation for a while. And that forced the actor to live in a hideaway location until all of it was complete.
Matthew and Kenny lived at the hideaway in Beverly Hills for a year while his home on the Pacific Palisades underwent construction for a revamp.
It was only weeks before his death that he managed to shift back to his new place that he was found dead inside the hot tub by his assistant from Japan.
Sources spoke to Daily Mail and revealed how much he adored his assistant and how helpful he was for so many years.
The 59-year-old assistant named Kenny was with the star for the past 25 years and he managed to be by his side handling all of his affairs for that long. This just goes to show how devastating it was for him to find his boss/ friend lying in an unresponsive state inside the tub.
Many people referred to his assistant as his best friend and that is what makes this all the more sad, added another source. He was his confidant, his go-to person, and above all, he spent years watching the actor struggle from his addictions to going somber and stronger than ever.
The rented home was only revealed right now. It had three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and varnished floors. Perry is believed to have enjoyed living there in seclusion but little did anyone know that him moving back to his old house would result in his death.
