Actress Hilary Swank has expanded her family by welcoming a baby girl and a baby boy.
The 48-year-old Million Dollar Baby and P.S. I Love You star has shared a warm Instagram post in which she announced the birth of her first children – twins whose names remain a secret.
“It wasn’t easy. But boy (and girl!) was it worth it. Happy Easter! Posting from pure Heaven,” the newfound mom proudly posted.
Hilary also shared a sweet photo showing her cradling her two bundles of joy, one in each arm, while watching the sunset from what appears to be the patio at her home.
The two-time Oscar winner shares the two children with social venture entrepreneur Philip Schneider who is her second husband.
The good news marks the first time Swank and Schneider have become parents.
Responding to the announcement were thousands of well-wishers including high-profile celebrities such as Sharon Stone and Sophia Bush.
“God bless honey This is the most extraordinary journey ever, so happy for you all,” Stone wrote.
“They’re HERE,” Bush added.
Previously, in March, Swank shared an ultrasound showing her babies getting ready to meet their parents.
“Baby A flexing for the camera at their ultrasound. #TheRealMillionDollarBaby #Prizefighter,” she wrote at the time.
Swank and Schneider met on a blind date in 2016 and went on to tie the knot in 2018.
In October last year, the actress also opened up about her decision not to have kids at an early age in a candid interview with Extra.
“I was having a career and not having the right relationship until … four years ago, and all the elements needed to come together and be right,” she explained.
“It’s just something I thought about even as a young girl. It’s something that was on my mind, so it’s nice to be here and just be pregnant.”
