French president Emmanuel Macron was pictured stranded in New York when the cops stopped his vehicle, which he was traveling in from the UN General Assembly.
The reason cited was road blockage and a complete traffic stop due to Trump’s motorcade passing. And as one can expect, that didn’t make the French head of state too happy.
He was seen getting out of the car and being forced to walk to bypass the traffic and arrive on time. He didn’t even spare a moment to make a quick phone call to his good old pal, Donald Trump, registering a serious complaint about how he’d had enough and needed someone to do something.
The bizarre video went viral in seconds as Macron phones Trump and asks him to clear the road, after leaving the UN headquarters on Monday.
The French president continued to argue with a police officer when his car was not allowed to move, and the NYPD cop smiled and said that he couldn’t do much, and he did apologize for this, but due to ‘Mr. President, everything is frozen in New York!’
Macron smirks and calls up Trump to express his dismay, and his entire entourage is witnessed there, right beside him, smiling as if this was nothing you’d see on a daily basis, especially one president waiting on the streets so the other can pass.
