Angelina Jolie is speaking more about how her split from action Brad Pitt had a devastating effect on her life.
The leading Hollywood actress says that her marriage was doomed and it did not take long for her to realize that. And the aftermath that came in the form of a divorce was never a pretty sight for her or her children.
Angelina Jolie opened up like never before and mentioned how she became a mother at the age of 26. That is what really changed her life and she had no idea about which curveballs life would be throwing in her direction.
But she did add how her life as a single mother is certainly a huge blessing for her as she confirmed how it ended up saving her from entering some really dark spaces if she was still married to her former husband Brad Pitt.
The star detailed further how having kids changed her world completely. And so when she did separate from Pitt, it was her kids that she focused on and that helped her turn her life around.
They were her added source of belonging and comfort. Her days would be spent planning activities with them rather than worrying about Pitt and the divorce.
“They are better than me because you certainly want your children to be like that!”- she explained.
“If I did not wish to live with them or be by their side, my life would be crazy”- she added. “My kids were my survival and I cannot be more grateful to God for blessing me with a beautiful family during the most difficult time of my life”- the emotional star explained.
The pair had a very public split and shared six kids together. While a lot has been said about why the marriage never worked out and how Brad Pitt may have had other priorities along the way, Jolie says that her children continued to serve as a rock for her and the magical way it gave her strength is her biggest blessing so far.
