One father is sparking a new debate online by claiming he has zero interest in sharing his desserts with his kids.
And as you can imagine, this dad has a sweet tooth so he intentionally goes about eating cupcakes outside his bedroom so his daughter won’t see.
“If she sees it, she wants it. I love her but I am not big on sharing food, especially when it comes down to desserts!”- he explained.
He went on to mention how he is big on desserts and has a sweet tooth too. But his daughter seems to want everything that he indulges in. Therefore, he now opts to eat his favorite food, cupcakes, right outside his bedroom.
It’s interesting to note how the little child is keen on eating the frosting. She ends up licking the slate clean and leaving the dry cake part behind.
And this happens every week when the dad makes a purchase for himself and his wife. But he seems to have had enough and has found another way around the issue.
He buys cupcakes and eats them right outside the room. This way, the young child would never notice that he brought them in the first place. But his wife disagrees.
She feels this might appear to be a solution in the short term but in the long term, it’s not the case. The child is not learning any lesson and would continue eating in just the same manner as before.
Netizens on Reddit agreed with the mother. They felt this was not the right way to teach a child that what she was doing was wrong. Therefore, they advised him to lay out a guide for mannerisms that would actually assist her in the future instead of this ordeal.
