The Duke and Duchess of Sussex released new photos of themselves only days after the new official portrait of the Royal Family has been published.
The images show Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attending the One Young World summit for youth leaders in Manchester, with the first one showing the mother-of-two wearing a red blouse and trousers.
Meghan stands proudly, holding one of Harry’s fingers while looking into the camera. Harry is smiling behind his wife at an angle.
Their second picture, taken only moments before the opening ceremony of the summit, shows the couple standing next to each other, looking at the audience and holding hands.
Their photos were taken by photographer Misan Harriman, a friend of the couple and director of the Southbank Centre. He has taken photos of many celebrities including Tom Cruise, Stormzy, Giorgio Armani, and Rihanna.
The photos were shared days after the release of an official portrait of the ‘New Fab Four’: King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla, Prince William, and Kate.
After the Sussexes moved to the US and the beloved Queen’s death on September 9, the photo stressed that Charles and the Prince of Wales and their wives will be the core of the Royal Family.
One Young World hosts an annual summit for young leaders to “be inspired, share learnings, and connect” and also “raise the bar for what it is possible to achieve as leaders, individually and collectively.”
The Duchess of Sussex gave a speech at the opening ceremony, addressing 2,000 people, with representatives from 190 countries.
Meghan said that it was “nice to be back in the UK” as she described the delegates as “the future, but also the present, driving the positive and necessary change needed across the globe.”
