The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were urged not to move to a super exclusive neighborhood as locals were concerned that the couple will only bring ‘circus’ to their quiet ranch.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have left Hope Ranch residents ‘worried’ that they will cause a commotion by leaving their mansion in Montecito.
According to reports, the couple have outgrown their Montecito home and are searching for another area that can properly accommodate them.
The Sussexes are currently living at their $14 million mansion with their children, Archie and Lilibet.
They have elite A-list neighbors, including Ellen DeGeneres, Katy Perry, Jennifer Aniston, and Adam Levine. Oprah Winfrey also lives in the area.
But according to TMZ, the news of their relocation has left Hope Ranch residents worried.
The elite village, which is quieter and more exclusive, boasts upmarket amenities – its own private beach, tennis court, country club, golf club, and equestrian trails.
The area is home to wealthy Californians who live away from the public eye. Some of the well known residents include talk show host Laura Schlessinger and novelist and actor Ron Ely.
Sources close to Homeowners Association at Hope Ranch said locals are worried about Harry and Meghan’s alleged move because of the ‘baggage’ they will bring, TMZ reported.
Their presence in the area may also cause traffic as photographers always flock to take photos of the Sussexes.
According to The Santa Barbara News-Press, their Montecito mansion “does not properly accommodate” them and rumors are circulating that the couple may have already bought a new property.
It has been claimed that the reason for the Sussexes’ alleged move to Ranch Hope may be for security reasons.
