Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were photographed holding hands after an emotional funeral procession for the late monarch at Westminster Hall.
The Sussexes, who were on a tour after stepping back from their royal duties, have extended their stay until the Queen’s state funeral on Monday, September 19.
They appeared keen to comfort each other after the service as they immediately held hands.
Other couples like Zara and Mike Tindall also held hands but the Prince and Princess of Wales as well as the Earl and Countess of Wessex decided to avoid public displays of affection.
Harry and Meghan became known for their constant hand-holding since first going public with their relationship in 2017.
They were photographed together at the 2017 Invictus Games in Toronto leaning into each other.
In their famous photo, the Prince can be seen whispering something to Meghan, who crossed her legs and seemed very delighted by what Harry was saying.
Meghan has been photographed many times putting her hands on her husband’s back while Harry loves caressing her ponytail.
During her first Trooping of the Color in 2018, she was seen placing her hand on Harry from the Buckingham Palace balcony.
Before they stepped down from their royal duties, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wowed fans with their affection during their tour of Tonga, New Zealand, Fiji, and Australia.
The Queen spent her final day in the Bow Room of Buckingham Palace before she was transported to Westminster Hall where she will lie in state until her funeral on Monday, September 19.
