Prince Harry and Meghan celebrated the first birthday of their daughter Lilibet in Windsor, with royal second cousins also invited to the garden.
The Sussexes held a ‘relaxed’ party on the royal estate, with balloons, picnic snacks, party games, and a birthday cake.
Zara and Mike Tindall’s children, Lucas, 1; Lena, 3; Mia, 8, were at the party, as well as Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly’s daughters Isla, 10, and Savanna, 11.
Archie’s godfather Charlie Van Straubenzee and his brother Tom were also invited to the garden party.
Speaking to The Sun, a source said: “It was a lovely do and had everything you’d expect from a child’s birthday party. The idea was for it to be very relaxed and casual, with people free to pop in and out as they wished.”
The source also said that it was a ‘nice opportunity’ for some of the royal children to finally meet Lilibet, adding that there were ‘lots of discussions’ about the gifts for her birthday.
Harry and Meghan stayed in Windsor with their children Archie and Lilibet, alongside Her Majesty who was watching the Platinum Party on television.
They were not present at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Party at Buckingham Palace and were reportedly watching the event with the Queen.
The Sussexes were at thanksgiving service at St. Paul’s Cathedral where they were greeted by the Dean of St. Paul’s at the great west door.
This was the first time Meghan and Harry were on full public view alongside the Windsors since they stepped down from their royal duties.
Neither Archie nor Lilibet have been seen in public at any of the festivities.
