Former US Vice President Kamala Harris recently gave her strongest indication to date that she might be pursuing the US Presidency again in 2028.
In a shocking new interview with the BBC, she mentioned that she’s definitely not done yet and looks forward to the race in the future. “I really want to make sure that my baby nieces see a woman in the White House in their lifetime for sure!”- she smiled.
Although she has yet to officially declare a campaign, Harris shared how she is possibly a candidate and emphasized that she has never let polls define her path.
She lost the 2024 Presidential election to Donald Trump by over 2 million votes, and in July of 2025, she announced that she would not be running for the post of California Governor in 2026. This was a decision that many widely interpreted as a sign that she is positioning herself for the national, rather than the state office.

Harris is currently working on her book tour promoting 107 Days, recounting her 2024 campaign and reflecting on her political journey. While she does remain a prominent figure in the Democratic Party, questions have arisen about her ability to connect with key voter blocs and rebuild the same momentum after her defeat in the recent past.
