President Trump demanded that former US Vice President Kamala Harris be prosecuted alongside a few other big names in the industry.
This included the likes of Beyonce, Oprah Winfrey, and Al Sharpton for matters related to fees that were paid to the stars during the 2024 election.
Trump shared how the stars were paid in literally millions of dollars by Harris’ campaign, linked to appearances. And all of that money amounted to illegal payments to endorse Harris’s failed presidential bid.
‘I am currently looking at the huge sum of funds owed by Democrats, after the presidential election’- Trump stated through Truth Social on Saturday.
‘The huge amount of ridiculous fees was incorrectly linked inside the books and records. You are not allowed to pay for any kind of endorsement. It’s totally illegal to do so!’- they added.
‘Can you imagine what would happen if politicians started paying people to endorse them. All hell would break out’- he added.
During the 2024 election cycle, VP Harris’ campaign did get a lot of criticism on this front regarding payments that went over $165,000 to Beyonce’s production firm.
Meanwhile, Winfrey’s production firm was paid over $1 million for a live stream event where she helped organize in the state of Michigan. Similarly, the team sent $500k to Sharpton’s National Action Network.
