Former aides to Joe Biden have boldly pushed back against former VP Kamala Harris after she shared in her upcoming memoir that she harbored deep doubts about the former President’s decision to seek reelection.
In 107 days, set for a public release on September 23, Harris is seen speaking about how trapped she felt in the near-impossible situation as Biden weighed his run.
An excerpt that was rolled out in The Atlantic mentioned more insights about her inner conflicts.
‘During these months of growing panic, should I have told Joe to consider not running? Perhaps. Of all the people in the White House, I was in the worst position to make the case that he should not drop out. I knew it would come off to him as incredibly self-serving if I advised him not to run! He would see this as a naked ambition, perhaps as a poison disloyalty- she continued.
However, Biden’s former aides refuse to agree with all that she’s said and are now slamming her for thinking this behavior of calling out Biden is okay after all that has gone down.
One former White House official explained to Axios how Harris was simply not good at the job. The official continued by mentioning more about how she had basically zero substantive roles in any of the administration’s key work streams and that instead she would just dive bomb in for stilted photo ops that exposed how out of depth she was about the entire matter in general.
