The greatest ever single champion in the world of tennis, Marina Navratilova has revealed a double cancer diagnosis.
Sources from local media outlets have gone on to speak about how the famous tennis star has been diagnosed with both breast and throat cancer after doctors located a swollen lymph node in her neck.
Marina is known for her rough and tough spirit across the board. It’s something that she feels redefines who she is as a person but even someone like her couldn’t really understand the diagnosis that doctors had revealed to her.
She adds how she had gone for a simple checkup and then all of a sudden, there is this swollen lymph node. And that was a sign of cancer. Not only one but two and it included the star’s throat as well as her breasts.
The news startled the entire Wimbledon community. They claim they didn’t see this coming and they rallied to support her through thick and thin as she begins her treatment.
“I know this is going to stink for a while but I have learned to accept it. It is what it is”- she mentioned.
The cancer diagnosis was reportedly made in the month of November last year. And while the news is definitely terrible, doctors told her that it’s still in its early stage and is hence still fixable.
Therefore, she is not delaying her treatment and has vowed to start immediately.

Marina has won Wimbledon nine times and that’s a leading world record that’s yet to be broken as she’s called out to be as brave as she is strong.
