A pair of wildfires has rolled out a devastating path of destruction across the Grand Canyon’s North Rim.
Firefighters were seen desperately making attempts to tackle the White Sage Fire and the Dragon Bravo Fire. The latter reportedly destroyed dozens of structures such as the historic Grand Canyon Lodge.
It was first designed in the year 1930 and was said to be the only lodging inside the park at the North Rim. But during the weekend, it was said to be consumed by massive flames.
The fast-moving blaze managed to tear through 50 to 80 buildings, including the visitor center, wastewater treatment plant, and the gas station.
The area was swiftly evacuated and will be closed for all visitors for the rest of the season, as shared by the park.
