There can never be an Oscars without drama and this next post lies on the borderline of being dramatic for sure.
Star Selena Gomez was seen having an awkward exchange of words while being on-stage with Samuel L Jackson and now lip readers are exposing what was exactly said as the directors of the film No Other Land gave a speech about conflict arising between Israel and Palestine during the event.
Gomez and Jackson presenting the final documentary award to four activists who made the film. Two of them were from Israel and the other two were from Palestine.
No other Land is said to be very critical of settlements of Israel in the West Bank, and both directors come from Israel and Palestine, which makes it even more interesting.
When both men delivered their speeches, fans noticed how Gomez and Jackson had their own chat going on uncomfortably as the directors spoke.
Many slammed the stars for not showing respect during the speech, which was the film’s moment of shining glory. Now the question is what exactly was said at that moment in time.
Jackson told Gomez that the director made the speech too political and Gomez added her head firmly and agreed with, ‘He did, yes!’ And that didn’t go down well with viewers.
