Makena White, who was the girlfriend of professional golfer Jake Knapp, has tragically died at the age of just 28.
The heartbreaking news was confirmed by one of White’s close friends, who shared details about how she passed away earlier this week and even shared an Instagram post to her account on Friday. No cause of death was provided, and the details surrounding her death remain private.
‘She’s already so deeply missed by her father, her family, her friends, and of course by Nelly and Fergie’- the friend mentioned as a caption on the post and referred to White’s two dogs.
‘Makena was one of a kind. She had this rare way of making one feel so special, and her huge heart was always overflowing with love’- the statement mentioned.
‘To be loved by Makena was a major gift, and one that came with endless laughter, so much joy, and a healthy sprinkling of chaos as we tried to keep up with her travel schedule,’ the friend added.
The message continued, suggesting that those who would like to honor Maken’a memory can send out donations to the Bruvere Brain Health and Memory Clinic or the Griffin Bell Endowment Fund. White’s mom, Crystal, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease, started going to Bruyere Brain Health and Memory Clinic in 2018. She also shared a loving statement on her daugher’s passing.
