As we wrap up the year 2023, preparations are in full swing for the 2o24 Golden Globes.
Many big names for hosting the world-famous annual event of the entertainment industry were put forward through a list of proposals but you’ll be amazed at how most of them have gone ahead and refused to take part in the ordeal.
Some common names enlisted so far included the likes of Chris Rock, Ali Wong, and top-of-the-line podcasters. However, it appears that not a lot of individuals are keen on hosting and wish to refuse the offer for reasons that were not cited.
That has left those in charge of the show in a dilemma as time runs out and the date for the final event gets nearer with each passing day.
The news comes after the grand event rolled out nominations on Monday and while everything seemed to be in place, there was a top-of-the-line category that was missing. And that included the position of the host.
The event’s date is nearly approaching and a lot of people are talking. The set date is January 7 on CBS but so far, there have been no announcements being made in terms of which other A-list celebs could be considered for the hosting purpose.
So far, it’s revealed that the top comedian who became notoriously famous after the Oscar Slap by Will Smith has declined the offer and that certainly makes sense. As per reports from CNN, four other unnamed but famous comedians have similarly refused.
Ali Wong is also said to have said a big no and politely declined the honor of hosting the gig as confirmed by insider sources from the media outlet. Those who are a part of the SmartLess podcast also turned down the offer and refused to co-host the major event.
