BREAKING: Gisele Bündchen’s Mother Has Passed Away


Gisele Bündchen’s mother Vania Nonnenmacher has passed away at the age of 75.

The teller mother of the Brazilian supermodel died at Hospital Moinhos de Vento in Porto Alegre on Sunday, Brazilian media confirmed.

According to GZH, the former bank teller, who was of German descent, succumbed to her illness after putting up a brave battle with cancer.

Nonnenmacher was a mother to six daughters including Gisele, Rafaela, Patrícia, Raquel, Gabriela, and Graziela whom she welcomed with university professor Valdir Bündchen.

While Gisele, who was very close to her mother, has yet to issue a statement, the model previously shared sweet snaps of the pair on social media.

“Happy birthday Mom! I am forever grateful for all that you have done and continue to do for us. Thank you for always loving, inspiring and teaching us. Thank you for giving me life! Love you so much!” she previously wrote to mark her mother’s 73rd birthday.

More recently, in September 2023, Bündchen opened up about her family life after it was revealed she is taking care of her ailing parents.

“It’s been very tough on my family. It’s been a lot — in every area of my life. I feel like whenever it rains, it pours,” she told People.

“With all the different twists and turns that life takes, all we can do is the best we can give what happens in our surroundings.”

The supermodel, who recently split from Tom Brady, added: “My family is everything to me and my sisters are my best friends even if sometimes we disagree. Family is what gives us our foundation, they are our greatest teachers, and they help us become who we are.”
