Gisele Bündchen managed to raise eyebrows by purchasing a property opposite Tom Brady’s Miami mansion before the couple’s divorce could be finalized.
The celebrity couple made headlines weeks ago after their shock split which came shortly after the NFL quarterback resumed his football career despite announcing retirement to “focus” on his family.
While sources previously suggested their divorce could “turn ugly” after the supermodel hired a top Florida divorce lawyer, it was later revealed that the couple had an iron-clad prenup that made the proceedings much easier and left little space for misunderstandings.
Now, Page Six also reported that Bündchen secretly bought a $11.5 million 6,600-square-foot Miami Beach home on October 6, weeks before the couple finalized their divorce.
The supermodel’s new home lies opposite and in direct view of Brady’s multi-million mansion which is currently under construction and was previously thought to become the couple’s new forever home.
It is also believed that Bündchen first viewed the home as early as August 16 – before Brady took a very short break from his football career.
Weeks after Brady’s return to the field, his wife closed on the property, indicating that the last-ditch attempt to save her family was unsuccessful and that she was ready to move on.
“Gisele was actively looking at homes in Miami Beach even before Tom took his break from the NFL, which indicates that she was already done with the marriage and moving on,” an insider told the publication.
Speaking of the two homes’ proximity, the source added: “You could literally swim from Gisele’s place to Tom’s — not that they would — but both homes will include a dock, so it would be very easy for them to co-parent their children while living so close to each other.”
