A body has been found in the search for a missing 14-year-old girl who was last seen in Weymouth.
According to reports from local media outlets, schoolgirl May was said to be missing after last being seen at nearly 10 pm on Wednesday.
Police put out an appeal in the hopes of tracking her down. Her family still had hopes for her safe return, but that came to a tragic end.
May was described as being a 5-foot-tall individual with brown, shoulder-length hair, and was always seen in baggy-themed attire.
Tragically, Dorset Police shared on Thursday night that a body was found in the search for this child. The family was informed about the heartbreaking news, and that has left them shattered.
Meanwhile, one spokesperson for the Dorset Police mentioned how the death isn’t being treated as something suspicious, and the HM Coroner was notified about the matter. ‘Our thoughts are very much with the loved ones of this child as they navigate through this difficult time in life’- the message read.
