Tragic reports have confirmed the death of a 9-year-old child and her father, who were both found lifeless inside a parked car.

The tragic incident took place inside their parked car at a park in Georgia. Now, investigators are looking into whether the dad was the one who ended up pulling the trigger that resulted in this tragic outcome.

Emily Grace Mayo and her dad James Lee Mayo were discovered dead by the cops inside the parked vehicle at Brooklet City Park after a concerned individual called to report an unresponsive child locked inside the car, as per the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Officers from the Brooklet Police Department replied to the scene around 7 am on Tuesday, where they discovered a child dead inside the backseat with what was described as an apparent gunshot wound.

The cops then located James with the release saying how the man was found dead inside the car’s front seat from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. There was also a handgun found on his lap.

Right now, an investigation is taking place into the deaths, and autopsies are being carried out on the remains of both the dad and the daughter, as per the release.
