Gene Hackman and his wife’s death are being called out as suspicious after there were no obvious signs of any gas leak.
The pair’s daughter had stated that she felt that they may have passed away due to carbon monoxide poisoning.
The detective also shared how the couple’s home’s front door was open and unsecured. Explaining the situation in detail in the affidavit, it was mentioned that he tried to get a search warrant that he felt was needed to investigate the home further.
The reporting party said that a pill bottle was left open and scattered on the floor near Arakawa’s body. There was also a space heater near her remains as per ABC reports.
A deceased German Shepherd was similarly found nearly 10 to 15 feet away while two other healthy dogs were found near them on the property.
Hackman was fully clothed and his sunglasses were found near his body. This might be an indication that he perhaps had fallen down.
The media outlets shared how the fire department came over to conduct a check to see if there was any carbon monoxide gas leakage, but that was not the case, as their daughter feared.
Meanwhile, the local gas company also did not point out any issues with the pipe.
While foul play was not suspected at the start, it’s quite obvious that it may now be suspected after the terrifying details are slowly unfolding regarding the matter.
