California Governor Gavin Newsom just confirmed his 2028 Presidential ambitions.
Today is the first time that he has been seen publicly acknowledging that he’s considering a run for the Presidency in 2028, as per a recent post shared on his page. “Yes, I am considering this seriously, and I would be lying if I were saying otherwise,” he confirmed while speaking to the press.
This remark marks the clearest public acknowledgement he’s made in a long time regarding his political ambitions at the national level.
He did not formally roll out a campaign but did signal that his eyes were on the Oval Office. He’s currently barred by term limits from seeking a third term as California’s governor, which would align well with a potential 2028 presidential bid, sources shared.
In recent months, he’s taken some steps and explored the possibility of preparing well for this role.
This includes touring key early state regions while maintaining a public national profile. This also includes him positioning himself as a prominent Democratic figure outside California. So far, no official campaign is underway from his side, but things might be changing very quickly after this.
