The Pope’s funeral is reportedly getting rehearsed after the 88-year-old warned that he might not be able to survive his serious respiratory infection.
Pope Francis was admitted to the hospital three days back where he was said to be suffering from a serious case of pneumonia in both his left and right lung.
Now, insiders have confirmed that the Pope feels that he might not be able to survive this one and that’s why the Swiss Guard is busy rehearsing for his funeral.
Members are also said to be under a curfew for the pontiff’s death, a leading media outlet from Switzerland shared.
The Pope did share in the past how he had already prepared his tomb but the location of this grave and the coffic would break with tradition.
This came after he was rushed to the Gemelli Hospital in Rome with serious chest pain and also resisted any calls for him to leave the Vatican for days.
Doctors have only shared how his condition is complex at the moment and they also barred him from taking part in any kind of public service until his condition gets better.
This has forced the Vatican to cancel and postpone all engagements until further notice.
