The search for the missing Alaska plane has ended in absolute tragedy.
The plane went off the radar yesterday, sparking a frantic search. However, the search discovered the remains of the crashed plane on the frozen sea with all 10 people dead inside.
All ten people who went missing when the small commuter plane disappeared over Alaska were said to be missing after the flight was reported as overdue. Officials have now confirmed that the plane had crashed, killing on board.
Search teams on Friday found the wreckage on sea ice that matched the description of the plane and confirmed that no survivors were on board.
Three bodies were found inside the plane while the remaining seven are said to be inside but cannot be accessed due to the plane’s condition, as per Coast Guard officials on X.
The wreckage showed the remains on snowy terrain that were discovered nearly 34 miles southeast of Nome. The Coast Guard shared how the picture of the wreckage was also released from the snow with two recovery team members.
The Coast Guard also shared their heartfelt condolences to all those affected by the tragic incident. No other details were shared on this matter as the investigation continues and the loved ones mourn the loss.
