Former Canadian PM Justin Trudeau found it so hard to hold back his tears during his farewell speech.
The weeping leader took one final swipe at America’s President Trump.
Trudeau was forced to step down after a shocking wave of resignations took place from his cabinet during the final part of 2024. This is where he was seen dabbing his eyes with a tissue during the conference, to his Liberal Party last night.
The 53-year-old has been replaced by former banker and Bank of England boss Mark Carney, who won the majority of votes during the elections.
He carried on with the war of words, adding that Trump was messing with the lives of thousands in the country, including families, workers, and companies.
Trudeau got so emotional and mentioned, ‘Don’t get me wrong! I am damn proud of what we’ve done over the past decade but tonight about our future as a party and as a country’- he declared.
The outgoing PM said Canada is a nation that will fight when they must, with elbows up. He also said that it makes him so proud to have led a nation that proudly embraces its identity, no matter what kinds of challenges or hurdles might come its way.
