Javier Bardem was among the Hollywood stars from the industry who got very political on the Red Carpet at the Emmys yesterday.
The outspoken celeb mentioned more details about a pledge, adding that more than 1800 workers from the entertainment industry had vowed to take part in the boycott against Israeli film firms. The 56-year-old Oscar-winning star says it’s about time we urged people to wake up to the reality of what’s taking place and boycott the injustice around the globe.
He similarly urged people to support the Free Palestine movement while being interviewed after a pledge was put together earlier this month, just ahead of the two-year-long anniversary of Hamas invading an Israeli music festival.
‘Here I am today denouncing the genocide in Gaza!’- No Country for Old Men actor mentioned. ‘I am talking about the IAGS, which is the International Association of Genocide Scholars, who have carefully studied this and declared it a genocide.
Other than that, the Hacks star shared that after winning the honors for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, she mentioned in the end that it was about time, that finally, go birds f**k ICE and Free Palestine’ thank you!’
