Melania Trump’s speech at the seventh annual Patriot Awards has left many baffled in terms of the claims she made about challenging convention as she equated herself to American patriotism and rebelliousness.
As Melania took the stage in Brookville in New York, she got a massively wild reaction from the crowd when she added: ‘Trust me, I know a little about the challenging convention!’
She then went on to reveal in her descriptions of all the forefathers, from Benjamin Franklin to Thomas Jefferson, highlighting how their pioneering had a lot to do with this country’s greatness.
Then she got to the main gist of her speech, adding how patriotism goes back to the days of rebellious founders, which hints at how the first lady sees her role in the White House – though many might not agree with this completely.
While many on social media commented that she got the award because she’s a Trump, Fox News says she was the recipient due to her great work on behalf of children and families.
Melania made headlines while she managed to persuade Russian President Putin to return some of the stolen kids from Ukraine who are residing in Russia. They were taken during the initial invasion.
