College Football Star Devin Willock Surprised 7-Year-Old Fan With A Heartwarming Gesture Moments Before His Car Accident


University of Georgia football star Devin Willock was pictured with a young fan just moments before he died in a horror car crash.

The 20-year-old offensive lineman Devin Willock died alongside recruiter Chandler LeCroy as the pair got involved in a collision while driving through Athens, Georgia, on early Sunday morning.

It was since the tragic news confirmed that Willock was pronounced dead on the scene while LeCroy, who was driving the car, died on the way to the hospital.

Just hours before the horrific incident, Willock was pictured smiling from ear to ear as he posed alongside a 7-year-old Georgia Bulldogs fan Camdyn.

“Special thank u to @DevinWillock for taking time for my grandson when he didn’t have to. U went out of ur way to make him feel special and U made his day!! Good luck next year! Go Dawgs!” Camdyn’s grandfather, Sam Kramer, wrote on Twitter.

As seen in the pictures shared by Kramer, Willock let his young fan put on his championship ring after the Bulldogs’ victory parade.

“My heart is broken for them. I just want you to know that you raised an outstanding young man and he will be missed,” Kramer said after the tragic news of Willock and LeCroy’s passing.

Paying a tribute to the beloved football star and the recruiting staff was also the University of Georgia’s Athletic Association who in a statement said:

“The entire Georgia family is devastated by the tragic loss of football student-athlete Devin Willock and football staff member Chandler LeCroy.

“Devin and Chandler were two special people who meant so much to the University of Georgia, our football program and our athletic department. We ask that everyone keep their families in your prayers during this very difficult time.”

The statement continued:

“The UGA Athletic Association will work with our medical team as well as our mental health and performance personnel to make sure we are providing the best support possible for our staff and student-athletes who are processing this grief.
