Anne Burrell’s final season of Worst Cooks in America has officially made it on air with a debut on Monday.
However, fans were stunned to see the lack of respect given to the Food Network celebrity chef. The bizarre tribute to the late television chef had some people raging and others just felt they had had enough.
The famous show kick-started with their two-hour premiere that was co-hosted by Burrell and Gabe Bertaccini, but the episode began as usual with no signs of a tribute of any kind.
While her passing was mentioned eventually, during the final seconds of the premiere episode, so many people felt that she deserved way more respect and credit than just that.
The end featured: ‘In Memoriam’ which popped up across the screen briefly with her name and picture. A PSA for the crisis text line was also given for those who might be suffering and in need of assistance. These small tributes were just not enough for some viewers who rushed to the X app to go off.
‘How could you even start this show without even acknowledging the star’s passing?’- one questioned, and many agreed in shock.
