Breathing has become more painful for those located in Indonesia after a massive lava and ash cloud was forced by a volcano that was seen erupting.
This resulted in flights getting cancelled and schools shutting down, with people taking quick cover for shelter.
Driving conditions were also made so much more difficult as thick volcanic ash covered the roads and rice fields inside villages in south central Indonesia, as lava and ash clouds were nearly 4km high. This is the second day that the volcano has erupted at dawn local time.
Moreover, debris was seen going up 18km into the air when the eruptions started at about noon on Monday.
Locals were told to limit time spent outdoors as roads and rice fields started to get so thick and gray with rocks, and schools in the affected areas started to close since Monday of this week, and public information officials issued warnings to stay indoors.
Witnesses spoke about the smell of sulfur and ash filling the air, which made the whole process of breathing all the more difficult with time. So far, no injuries or deaths have been reported, but images were released that were published through social media that showed many running for their lives.
