A fundraiser that was organized to assist a rollercoaster victim who flew off of her ride and slammed directly into the ground has managed to raise just $500.
According to local media outlets, 26-year-old Shylah Rodden was reportedly hit by a rollercoaster at the famous Melbourne show. And in the act, she suffered the most horrific injuries as confirmed by her doctors.
Therefore, she is believed to have a very long and painful journey to recovery ahead of her. On that note, her heartbroken parents thought it would be a good idea to begin a fundraiser in her name. But little did they know that it would only generate $500.
But more investigation into the young woman’s track record proved that she has had a very tragic and troubled past that’s full of nothing but worry and pain. She was previously believed to have been involved in nearly three other car accidents.
These arose in the year 2018, and 2019, and one that took place last year as well.
Moreover, her family says they have already launched a legal case against those authorities responsible for their daughter’s condition from 2018. But seeing another huge tragedy take place with her has left them beyond devastated.
Now, the family has also considered suing the Melbourne Show and all of the ride operators as well.
The initial target that the family had hoped to reach was stated to be $20,000 but with several days passing, they’ve been in a state of shock as getting only $500 was definitely not something they’d imagined in their wildest dreams.
Now, the family has decided to put their heartbreak to the side and pursue legal action while the GoFundMe account stays in the same state as before.
But many are calling the incident as a cruel blow for obvious reasons as a little humanity in this situation would definitely be appreciated from the family’s side.
