A teenage girl is sharing her experience as one of the first-ever models with Down Syndrome to walk at Fashion Week in New York.

The 14-year-old named Monika Myers who hails from Toronto in Canada says she appeared on the runway and felt like it was her home. And that just goes to show how confident and at ease she was to showcase her talent.

The young girl made heads turn with her beauty and determination to move ahead and not let any of her shortcomings prevent her from achieving her dreams.

“This is the first time in my life that I’ve felt so brave and beautiful at the same time”- she explained while shedding light on her heartfelt moment on stage.

The teenager also mentioned how she thought that she would never get the chance to appear on the runway but seeing her dreams be fulfilled at this young age really made her realize that nothing is impossible to achieve if you put your mind to it.
