One couple is making plenty of heads turn, proving to the world that love never dies, no matter how old you may become.

They’re leaving the world stunned in terms of a confession that has blown many people’s minds. According to them, marriage was always on the cards for them but their parents stopped them from entering into the holy matrimonial bond. But if you think that was enough to make them give up on love, well, think again.

Meet Len Albrighton who is 79 and Jeanette Steer who is 78. The duo was teenage sweethearts and they always wished to get married. But things did not quite work out in their favor at that time.

But they waited 60 long years to get married and while that might some ridiculous to some, they say it’s the best feeling in the world.

The couple revealed how they first tried to get hitched in the year 1963 but things did not work out for them. The parents were in denial as they felt the duo was not a good match.

This forced them to stay apart but deep down inside, they knew they were destined to be together, and if not now, then someday later.

Soon, days turned into months, and months turned into years. But it all worked out in the end as nearly six decades later, the couple who are approaching their 80s revealed they’re married and have only recently exchanged vows.

The duo reportedly met as training nurses and even got engaged but the marriage could never turn into a reality when they were young.

When the couple is asked why they didn’t choose to get married by themselves, well, the age to attain consent for marriage during that time was 21 and these individuals were just 18.

Nevertheless, true love prevailed in the end and this couple never gave up on each other.
