“I got this wrong, I apologize!”- were the words written by Zuckerberg. And that was closely followed up by how Meta would be seeing a 13% cut of its staff as early as possible.

This seems to be a very similar move to what was seen by Twitter Chief and owner Elon Musk who similarly sent out an email that would be deciding the fate of so many members working in the organization.

The incident is being dubbed as the biggest US layoffs to take place this year after shares lost two-thirds of their value, leaving the tech giant in a very difficult position.

The parent firm of Facebook has been battling soaring costs and one of the weakest advertising markets to date. But let’s not forget how gloomy the CEO Mark Zuckerberg appeared while discussing the major cuts with its leading executives during a meeting scheduled for Tuesday.

The broad job cuts follow thousands of layoffs at some of the major tech firms out there including the biggest talk of the town, Elon Musk, and his Twitter takeover.

Zuckerberg could be seen speaking about how ‘he had gotten it all wrong’ and hence apologized right before he went into the nitty gritty details linked to the cut that was about to take center stage.

The biggest losses would be encountered in divisions linked to recruiting and business, the email further explained. This is a shocking move for any CEO to blame the outcome on themselves as Zuckerberg revealed how he was the only one who would be held accountable for any missteps that Meta had made.
