Two men were recently killed in execution-style in a hail of at least 40 bullets inside Philadelphia during the early hours of Monday.
The news came as the city descended towards a win at this year’s Super Bowl event. However, cops say they are yet to link the crime to the sporting event.
Cops shared more on this including how the intersection between Claridge and Adams Avenue was lit up with firing and shots of bullets at nearly 3:30 am in the night.
People were eagerly celebrating the win but what they forgot to realize was the consequences of their actions.
The remains of a 32-year-old man were retrieved from the scene of the crime whose body was riddled with gunshot wounds. These struck the face and torse while the second victim was believed to be in his 20s or early 30s. Both of them had similar gunshot wounds, sources from the department added.
As per the WCAU-TV News, the victim was found shot dead inside the driver’s seat of his jeep which was again destructed completely with bullets.
Meanwhile, the second victim was found on the ground near the passenger’s side.
