Shocking new footage captured the exact moment when a Delta plane carrying 80 people burst into flames upon landing on a runway filled with snow at Toronto Pearson International Airport.
The shocking new footage came as authorities from Canada shared how they were still working hard to determine the cause of the crash and called for patience and an end to speculations.
Both runways were sealed and dozens of flights were delayed and rescheduled as the plane continued to lay on its roof on the runway, causing major disturbance to regular flight operations.
Reinforcements were recruited from the US and all 76 passengers and four crew members were said to have survived the crash. 18 people including one child were said to be injured but no one sustained any life-threatening injuries which many called an absolute miracle.
The video showed the exact moment when the Bombardier CR900 came in for a landing attempt in blustery and windy conditions. After the serious impact on the ground, the plane seemed to tilt to one side.
The video matched the exact recollection of one passenger who explained to CNN that the plane went sideways and then skidded on the side and flipped over on the back. When they struck the ground, he added that it was so hard and scary. After stopping, there was a major fireball on the plane’s side.
