“If You Don’t Drink A Beer For Three Hours, You WON’T Die!”- FIFA President Supports Alcohol Ban At The World Cup Stadium In Qatar


FIFA President Gianni Infantino is lashing out at critics in a fiery speech just one day ahead of the high-profile World Cup opening ceremony in Qatar tomorrow.

Infantino was seen mentioning to fans how they should get over the strict rules and regulations in place and that includes the controversial alcohol ban.

Yes, there will be no alcoholic drinks being served inside the stadium as confirmed by the country’s officials. And as one can imagine, soccer without beer is definitely a love affair that people won’t be a fan of giving up.

But Infantino did lash out at critics who felt FIFA shouldn’t have chosen Qatar as the host for the grand sporting event because so many restrictions are killing the game.

However, the FIFA president disagreed and mentioned that every fan could go on surviving for three hours without a beer so it was not a big deal and hence they needed to relax.

“Fans should not be the ones complaining about beer sales. You will not die if you don’t drink a beer can for three hours”- he stated with a smirk.

Qatar has announced from the start of the tournament that no alcohol would be served or sold to supporters in the stadiums and hence anyone coming forward with such a desire should refrain from doing so.

On the hand, Infantino was seen criticizing all those speaking out against Qatar’s human rights abuses and management of the world cup and dismissed all sorts of complaints linked to the alcohol ban as well.

But the biggest irony of the whole situation is linked to how the event is being sponsored by the leading alcoholic beverage company Budweiser. This is why European critics are having a tough time digesting all the facts being thrown at them.
