BREAKING: World STARTLED As FIFA World Cup In Doha Begins With Little Sign Of Soccer Fans On The Streets


The FIFA World Cup in Qatar has begun with a bang today in Doha but the fact that the city’s streets were empty just hours before the mega event shocked the world.

The opening ceremony was hosted by disgraced celeb Morgan Freeman who took out the time to speak a few words right before a lineup of entertaining performances began.

Just hours later, the stadium was set for a match between hosts Qatar and Ecuador but many can’t get over the fact that there are a million soccer fans traveling to the country for this mega sporting event. Yet, there was little to no sign of them.

Doha City Center remains super quiet and despite the World Cup beginning today, it was also shocking to see how there were rows of empty seats in the audience where members of the Qatari royal family were sitting.

Many described the scenes to be eerily quiet around the stadium with little to no traffic on the roads. The fact that one of the world’s greatest soccer festivals was underway with little to no commotion really says a lot, explained critics.

In previous events hosted by FIFA, fans were seen filling up the streets and making noise to hype up for the grand event but as you can see by the pictures, it just wasn’t the same this year.

Qatar has been subject to a lot of controversy and hate by critics from around the globe. The small nation is the first Muslim country to host this sort of festival at this level.
