Coldplay’s Chris Martin sparked serious outrage across the board after inviting young Israeli fans to the stage to join him in the United Kingdom, and went on to declare them as equal humans on earth.
At the same time, he also welcomed Palestinians in the crowd, and that viral clip has sparked serious debate online in terms of his true intentions in doing so.
In the viral clip, the interaction between the lead singer and his fans can be seen, where two nervous individuals shared the stage with him.
The incident drew a mix of boos, groans, and some applause from the sold-out crowd. ‘I am going to say this. I am very grateful that you are here as humans. We are treating you as equal humans on earth, regardless of where you come from’- Martin mentioned while seated on the piano.
He then thanked them for being here and said that he was so grateful that they were loving and kind. ‘Although it might be controversial, maybe, I also want to welcome people in the audience from Palestine’, he shared, prompting the crowd to erupt into a huge cheer.
‘I believe we are all equally human,’- he shared.
