While the evening’s concert at Caesars Palace’s Colosseum was not initially intended to be the residency’s opening night, that is what took place.

Clarkson was left with no choice but to cancel two shows hours before the first one was scheduled to begin on Friday to protect her voice.

Addressing the issue of cancellations early into the show, Clarkson shared with attendees how she was so sorry if some of them had last weekend’s shows and had to face the delay.

‘We cannot help our bodies sometimes, and if we get sick, this is what happens, and you deal with it’- the star mentioned. She further added that taking a shot of tequila with another audience member meant that she would be celebrating because she had canceled last weekend.

The star failed to share more details as to why the delay arose in the first place, but insiders did mention how her physical and mental health just gave up, and that really impacted her voice quality. As per Clarkson, she cried, was super sick, and just hated it. However, she’s more than glad to be here right now.
