The famous Oppenheimer movie is getting boycotted, leaving producers of the film in shock.
According to reports from local media outlets, the boycott stems from the fact that people are taking offense to one disgusting line in the movie, and that has more than a billion people upset so far.
One scene left fans and followers beyond shocked and nobody knew that such a response would arise from the masses. Therefore, the latest on this front has led people to stop watching the film that’s based on an American scientist who goes the extra mile to develop a nuclear bomb.
But it’s shocking because the movie has already seen its fair share of success. It has the best award-winning actors in the lineup and a compelling storyline too. Hence, what else can one person ask for, sources revealed?
Hence, which scene happened to be the one that stirred up so much controversy is a question that is bugging a lot of people. Well, it appears that in real life, Oppenheimer was really intrigued by the Hinduism culture.
Moreover, sources have explained how he even went to the extent of converting the Bhagavad Gita into Sanskrit and English. And that was surely a controversial move. His love in the film was portrayed but that happened to be during the most explicit of scenes. Hence, this did not go down with many Hindus at all.
Therefore, an open letter had been penned by officials in the country to Christopher Nolan himself. They talk about how one scene shows the characters engaged in intimacy.
On one hand, the female is holding the Bhagawad Geeta while her other hand is seen trying to adjust her reproductive organs. And that is something that is the biggest disrespect, they added.
Many people who claim to be from the Hindu community revealed how this is not something that they or anyone had imagined to be a part of the movie. They called the scene extremely disrespectful and one that was not at all necessary. What do you think?
